Lemur, the overwhelmingly flexible MIDI controller app for iOS hit version 5.0 today which gives its users more functionality and flexibility.

First, there’s a new Canvas option available (based on HTML 5’s canvas) that allows you to draw your own animated objects, implemented as standard Lemur scripting.

Second, Liine introduces new sequencing objects that are ready to go, allowing you to quickly set up a sequencing template to control your MIDI-supported devices with.

Furthermore the In-App editor has been improved so you can modify your templates as much as possible on your iPad now.

Here’s Sam Barker from Barker & Baumecker going over the new Lemur update.

If you find it all too overwhelming to create your own widgetized MIDI templates there’s always still the thriving Lemur community with a database to download user submitted templates from.

To celebrate the new release, Liine has put Lemur at 50% off currently, better grab it now before it’s too late.
