A new sampler app developed by Humbletune hit the App Store today. Elsa looks like a straightforward sampling tool for iPhone & iPad (with tempo based looping) that has the ability to lay out a sample over a keyboard (virtual or Core MIDI supported) in various ways. You can reverse, normalise and trim your samples and apply effects when playing it all back.

Here is the full feature list:

+++ Sample keyboard
+++ Tempo based looping
+++ ADSR
+++ Bit crush
+++ Reverb
+++ Resonant low pass filter
+++ Record, trim, normalise, reverse, pre note shift, zoom
+++ Multi octave keyboard
+++ 3 loop modes (one off, forward, forward-reverse)
+++ 3 start/stop modes (one for all, one per note, one per octave)
+++ Playback length dividers (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)
+++ Save/Load
+++ Import/Export ACP 2.0
+++ Inter app audio (audiobus)
+++ Core Midi (note input)

And here’s is a video runthrough on the Humbletune channel featuring the on-board effects in Elsa:

    I love nils and inwant tonoick this one. But i’m not sure if u need and external keyboard or there is some keys or sample trigger inside the app??

      You can use the samples within the app and trigger them on the “keyboard” at the bottom of the app, generating different speeds, notes, and octaves. You can use an external keyboard to trigger the samples or any other compatible midi app (audiobus integration is great, too), as well as create your own samples (for example, record your guitar into the app and playback your song from either the app itself or an external keyboard). E-l-s-a is very flexible and is a great complement to humble’s other apps.
