Elsa looks like a straightforward sampling tool for iPhone & iPad (with tempo based looping) that has the ability to lay out a sample over a keyboard (virtual or Core MIDI supported) in various ways. A really early version of Mosaik for iPad , the realtime timestretching loop player by NDVR was released on the App Store today. While it’s a very cheap download for under $1, this release isn’t quite an Ableton Live for iPad yet. After months of speculation and teasing, the Audiobus team finally confirmed the official release for the Audiobus 2 update, which is Thursday, April 3rd 2014! This is the day you can expand your Audiobus with multiple effects, state saving (and sharing presets) and even multiple Audiobus chains (as an IAP).
After Loopy appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show the app went viral. Not only did Loopy reach the top of the paid app charts, but developer Michael Tyson was also interviewed on several radio stations and even made an appearance on Australia’s Today Show talking about the app and the recent success.
